Offshore Heavy Transport AS
Offshore Heavy Transport AS is a Norwegian oil service company owning vessels suitable for dry transportation of offshore drilling rigs and offshore modules. The company is the second largest heavy lift vessel owner in the world and presently owns and operates four semi-submersible heavy lift vessels.
In December 2008, Ocean HeavyLift ASA acquired its commercial manager Offshore Heavy Transport AS. The acquisition has transformed the company into a fully-integrated heavy transport operator. As the combined company capitalises on the strong experience and merits of the OHT team, the company's name was changed from Ocean HeavyLift ASA to Offshore Heavy Transport AS.
Following the mandatory offer in October 2008, the Arne Blystad group currently holds the majority of the company's shares. The company was delisted from the Oslo Stock Exchange in December 2008.
